I love the set Window Dressing – it is incredibly versatile and the characters in it are so adorable. I have used this set most recently to make holiday cards but today decided to use it to make something different…

I decided to make this a card looking from the inside of a room out into the garden. By not using a sentiment this card can be used for a birthday, thank you or thinking of you card – when I like a design, I usually make a batch of cards the same so that I always have a card on hand – and by not using a sentiment it makes it easy to use them for any occasion.

This card uses More Mustard cardstock as it’s base, with a piece of Chocolate Chip on top and I used the Scallop Border Punch to edge it – the ribbon is a piece of Mustard Grosgrain tied in a simple knot.

I stamped a plant using Garden Green ink onto Baha Breeze cardstock and put a little piece of Garden Green cardstock at the bottom to make the ‘grass’. The cat was stamped on a piece of white cardstock using Stazon Brown ink and I colored him in with Watercolor Wonder Crayons. I cut him out and attached him to the garden background using Dimensionals.

I stamped the window using Chocolate Chip ink and colored in the frame – I cut out the window panes and used a piece of acetate for the ‘glass’. The window frame was then adhered onto a piece of Designer Series Paper from the beautiful Autumn Vine pack that is featured in the Holiday Mini. I painted a wooden skewer with brown paint and cut out the drapes from another sheet of Autumn Vine – both are attached to the DSP using Tombow Multi Adhesive. The mat underneath the DSP is also Garden Green.

It came out so cute – I think the recipient will love it :-)
