I am loving playing with these two stamp sets – they complement each other so beautifully – and I also love using red and brown together for Valentine’s projects – the brown makes me think of chocolate…mmm…one of my favorite things to eat :-)

This card uses my favorite tree from the Season of Friendship stamp set that you can find in the Holiday Mini Catalog and stamps and paper from the Love You Much Bundle which is available for order right now, just in time for your Valentine’s projects…

I stamped the tree using Chocolate Chip ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock. I then used the Stamp-a-majig to position and stamp the birds, again using Chocolate Chip ink. Using my Heart to Heart Punch (as featured in the Love You Much Bundle) I punched the hearts out of Riding Hood Red cardstock and used the Scoring Blade in my Paper Trimmer to make a score down the center of each heart so that I could fold them, to make them look like leaves. I adhered the bottom of each heart leaf to the tree using Tombow Multi Adhesive. I then stamped the birds onto pieces of Candy Lane DSP (from the Love You Much Bundle) and cut them out – I then adhered these onto the birds I had stamped on the card base. I took a strip of Mellow Moss cardstock and scored it lengthways, half way down. I cut slits down to the score line to to make the ‘grass’ and adhered this to the card base.

I used my Scallop Edge Punch to decorate the edge of a piece of Close to Cocoa cardstock – I then trimmed this to size in order to layer the Vanilla piece on top. I took a piece of Chocolate Chip Tafetta Ribbon and tied this around the ‘grass’ being sure to cover the score line but leave some green showing below it to give a nice, balanced effect – I tied a knot to finish it off. Using Chocolate Chip ink I stamped the sentiment from the Season of Friendship set onto Very Vanilla and then layered this onto a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock. I used Dimensionals to attach it to the card base and as a finishing touch, put a clip from the Clips Assortment onto it.

Finally, I cut a piece of DSP from Candy Lane and layered my card onto it – I was sure to leave a nice border so that some of the patterns of this beautiful paper show around the card – and finally I matted this onto a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock…and voila – an elegant but fun little card, perfect for Valentine’s Day :-)
