I wanted to make a bright and cheerful Birthday card that would be perfect for a little person, incorporating some of those adorable Sesame Street characters…I also wanted to use bright colors as a real eye catcher…

The character faces are made by using various Stampin’ Up! punches – the Scallop Circle for the shape of the head and various Circle and Oval Punches that you just snip to size. They are attached to squares of Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Blue, Riding Hood Red and Tangerine Tango with dimensionals to give them a lift from the card – I have also made them using colors from the Bold Brights color family – Brilliant Blue, Real Red, Only Orange and Green Galore work really well too.

They are matted onto a piece of Basic Black and then onto a piece of paper that has brightly colored squares from Washington Apple DSP – I used this paper to create a frame around the central image – and then matted it onto another piece of Basic Black and a piece of Riding Hood Red with some Striped Grosgrain Ribbon for a finishing touch – isnt it cute?

I also made some party favors for a friend using these faces too – I just attached each face to a lollipop – they proved to be very popular and oh so simple to make :-)

Please check my main blog page for details of my ‘celebratory’ special offer that I have running this week until Sunday 16th August – I am so honored to have been one of the winners of Shelli’s Creative Challenge and was also shocked and honored to be named Rising Star no. 2 at Convention last week – I am offering free shipping with orders this week and if you decide to sign up to be a Demonstrator with me and join my team with the $85 sign up special that Stampin’ Up! are currently running, I will add to that and give you the choice of $30 in products as my gift to you :-)

What size scallop punch is that? and what are the card dimensions. I’m trying to make this card for my grandson’s birthday, but cannot figure out the dimensions. I love it!
