See-through!  Check out these treat holders…aren’t they sweet? They are a great way to showcase treats especially colorful chocolates that you can find in all sorts of seasonal colors…

The acetate sides let you see what is inside and you can co-ordinate your stamps and papers to match your treats  – they would work great for favors and with the holidays coming, how cute would these be hanging from the christmas tree?  Or placed at each setting at the dinner table?

Please read on for details on how to make them along with a link to the printable tutorial plus find out who won Tuesday’s blog candy…

They are fun, easy and economical to make – all you need is a Window Sheet plus some pieces of Cardstock and Designer Series Papers and let your imagination get to work!

My Tree Treat Holder…uses a base cardstock of Crumb Cake which I decorated using papers from Deck the Halls DSP that you can find in the Holiday Mini Catalog – and I shaped my edges using the Scallop Edge Border Punch…

I used stamps from the set Season of Joy and stamped my trees in Always Artichoke ink – I added some sparkly Rhinestones and placed my treats inside – I stacked individually wrapped Ghirardelli chocolate squares in there which fitted beautifully – I even found a package to co-ordinate with my colors – they are Caramel Latte flavored…yum!

I added a handle made of Hemp Twine and here is my finished treat holder…

And my Snowman Treat Holder…uses a base cardstock of Baha Breeze which I decorated using papers from Candy Cane Christmas, also in the Holiday Mini.  I shaped the edge of this paper using my Scallop Trim Border Punch and wrapped around a piece of Whisper White Tafetta Ribbon.

My Snowman stamp is from the set Tags til Christmas, again in the Holiday Mini – I love the fact that this stamp has a ‘to and from’ section allowing me to personalise my gifts easily.  My other stamp is a snowflake from the set Serene Snowflakes which I stamped and embossed using White Embossing Powder to make it match in nicely with my blue & white theme.

I filled it with some Lindor Truffles that have a blue & white snowflake wrapping and decided to tie a bow on top and not make a handle for this one, to show you the different looks you can get…

I think they are great little treats to have to hand and plan to make some to hang on our tree.
