You can still use holiday stamp sets featuring trees for all sorts of occasions!  Now today’s card is a little bit out there but I love how it turned out…

In my last Stampin’ Up! order I chose Holiday Happiness as one of my free Sale-a-bration items – I’ve been wanting this little set for a while but never got around to purchasing it – now that it’s free during Sale-a-bration it was top of my freebie wish list!

This set contains an image of a very cute tree and as soon as I saw it, I imagined hanging lots of other things from it – not just holiday ornaments.  And so today I decided to make an Easter themed card…

What do you think? If you’ve followed me for a while you will know that I love versatile stamp sets – and this card is showing you how you can use a classically holiday themed set through the year…

Imagine hanging red hearts from the branches or adding stamped flowers to them…or stamping the tree in brown and adding leaves in the fall…cute and versatile!

I ideally wanted to hang oval shaped eggs from the branches but don’t have any small oval punches – and so instead I decided to use my 1/4″ and 1/2″ Circle Punches…

I stamped my tree in Old Olive ink and drew little lines down from the branches with my Old Olive Marker…

I then punched my circles out of pieces of patterned paper from Springtime Vintage DSP and attached them in place – the small ones using Mini Glue Dots and the larger ones using Dimensionals to give some definition…

To get a closer view, click on the photo above.  I then matted my tree onto a piece of Soft Suede card stock and again onto a piece of River Rock card stock that I textured using my Big Shot and Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.

Finishing touches?  A piece of Very Vanilla 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon wrapped around and my sentiment taken from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes and punched out using my 1 3/8″ x 5/8″ Oval Punch…

Right now you can get this cute tree set FREE with a $50 order – available in both wood and clear mount – check out the images below…want to know more about this fab offer?  Click HERE!

Gorgeous card and you’re right about the stamp set being so versatile. Wouldn’t your tree also look fabulous surrounded by the framed tulip embossing folder? Love it and congrats to Tionya!
