My sister-in-law’s baby is due next month and so I had started thinking about making a card for her and this set is a perfect little set to use for baby cards so look what I came up with…
This card uses one of my favorite color combos – Early Espresso, Baja Breeze and Whisper White – I love how those colors work together!
See my little dotted background? It is simply a piece of patterned paper from Nursery Suite Specialty DSP that you can find on pg 172 of the Catalog – a super cute paper to use on a baby card…
I stamped my tree and my rabbit images using stamps from Forest Friends (pg 93) – I used my Espresso and Always Artichoke markers to color the tree and then cut it out using my Circle Scissors Plus & Glass Mat.
That big beautiful scallop flower? I made that using my Big Shot and Scallop Circles #2 Bigz Die – such a useful die – I don’t know how I ever managed without it!
When I put my card together I used Dimensionals to pop some focal points off of my card…love those…click on the photo for a closer view…
My sentiment? Stamped using stamps from the set Fabulous Phrases (pg 149) straight onto the Designer Series Paper – if you are going to do this, be sure to stamp your sentiment BEFORE attaching your layers, especially if you are using the Stamp-a-majig to posotion them like I did – otherwise the layers will get in the way of your hands and tool…
The last little touch is the addition of two little Pearls…LOVE those for giving a card a little extra something special…and what a bargain at $4.95 for 150 of them!
