Today I wanted to make a batch of notecards – I wanted to keep them simple with the image being the focal point of the card and found the perfect stamp for the job…

It’s from the brand new set On the Grow that you can find on pg 14 of the Summer Mini Catalog – it is a set of 4 featuring a scooter, a jar full of blossoms and two sentiments.

To be sure the image was the focal point on my card, I decided to go with a small 3″ x 3″ note card format – you can find Mini Square Envelopes to fit this size of card on pg 171 of the big Catalog…

I cut my card base to be 3″ x 6″ and scored halfway down, at 3″.  I matted a piece of colored cardstock onto it sized 2 7/8″ square – my stamped cardstock measures 2 3/4″ – please click on photos for a closer look.

My Pink Card – the base is Pink Pirouette and the mat is Rose Red…I stamped my image using a stamp from On the Grow and Stazon Black Ink and colored it in using Markers.

My Blue Card – the base is Baja Breeze and the mat is Old Olive – I again stamped it and colored it using Markers.

To make them a little extra special I decided to cover the envelope flaps with some Designer Series Papers…so easy to do and adds a great little touch and what a great way to use up some of the paper scraps you have laying around – I used some retired papers on mine below:

Here is my pink one…I covered the flap using paper from Springtime Vintage DSP…

And here is my blue one…I covered the flap using paper from Thoroughly Modern DSP…

So fun to make and what a great batch of notecards to have on hand…
