To all my customers, team members, wonderful friend & upline Stella and of course Stampin’ Up!…

Why am I thankful?  Well this year I was sooo surprised and delighted to find out during Convention week that I earned Founders Circle which is a such huge honor…and how lucky I am feeling because…

Not only do I get to go to southern Utah for the Founders Circle retreat in September hosted by the fabulous Shelli Gardner, but yesterday a box arrived via Mr Brown that contained my fabulous Founders Circle bag and the items I received as an award…since I couldn’t make convention this year, they mailed it to me…a huge THANK YOU Stampin’ Up!

And today I received yet another box from Mr Brown containing the free stamp sets that I earned for sales and achievements – WOW – I am one lucky girl and I just feel so grateful to all.

So today I decided to make a gratitude themed card…

I found my inspiration for this card from a similar one featured on pg 183 of the catalog…I saw it a while ago, just loved it and wanted to make something similar, and here it is.

My card base is Soft Suede and onto it I layered another piece which I textured using my Big Shot and Square Lattice Embossing Folder.

My central panel is a piece of Naturals Ivory cardstock (pg 181) which measures 3″ x 5 1/4″…I adhered strips from the GORGEOUS Mocha Morning Specialty pack of papers (pg 183) to the bottom and added pieces of Hemp Twine to make the flower stems…I then adhered it to my base using Dimensionals.

Sarah’s Tip – to easily adhere bits of twine to my card I used Mini Glue Dots that I cut in half – then I use the halves to provide a very secure and invisible way to attach thin twines such as this to cards.

My flowers? Super easy – simply punched out of Confetti Cream cardstock using the 5-Petal Flower Punch (pg 210) and I then added a piece of patterned paper to each that I punched out using my Boho Blossoms Punch…I added both to my card using Dimensionals to give a 3-D look.

For a cute center I added a Bitty Button to each through which I threaded a piece of Linen Thread.

Those leaves? Again, super easy – I used my 5-Petal Punch to punch a flower out of a scrap of First Edition DSP and then trimmed the excess away to create 2 leaves…click on the photo below for  a closer view…

And finally the sentiment…is a stamp from the set Fabulous Phrases that I stamped using Soft Suede ink and punched out using my Modern Label Punch (pg 209), I added it to my card using Dimensionals and also added 3 Pearls to give a touch of elegance…

I love how it turned out and think it would also make a fabulous Thanksgiving card…what do you think?

And just in case you are curious…this is what arrived last evening to make me SO excited…my beautiful Founders bag and two Coach boxes wrapped with a satin ribbon and stamped charm – containing a beautiful Coach wallet and a Coach scarf…

And this is what arrived today…four free stamp sets…

I am ONE LUCKY, GRATEFUL AND THANKFUL GIRL!

Sarah, first off, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Founders Circle is such an accomplishment and I’m glad that I’m subscribed to your blog; I wish I could see more blogs of FC-achievers :)

Second, I literally said “WOW!” when I saw your punch card. I don’t know what struck me first, the beauty/simplicity of it or the creative use of punches and tone on tone papers to create it. Either way, thanks for your expression of gratitude!
