Instead of a party for their 9th Birthday, my girls decided that they wanted to have a Birthday Sleepover…
And (my friend Stella will get a great kick out of this next bit) they also wanted to take a trip to Build-a-Bear Workshop with their friends and wanted me to make some beary cute invitations for them.
Well what do you know? Stampin Up have some FABULOUS Build-a-Bear Stamps in the set Beary Best Friends which were just perfect for what I needed…PLUS I used stamps from the set Party This Way which is one of the sets that you can get for FREE right now during Sale-a-bration.
Using a combination of stamps from these two Stamp Sets I came up with their Sleepover invitations and here is one of them…
Isn’t it CUTE?!
This card has an Early Espresso base and onto it I layered a piece of pink polka dotted paper from the free Hostess pack of DSP called Cheerful Treat (pg 11)…
That cute Girl Bear? I stamped her using a stamp from Beary Best Friends (pg 95) onto a piece of Whisper White and colored her in using Markers…to give a framed look, I then cut another piece of Whisper White to be 1/4″ bigger and matted my stamped bear sheet onto it using Dimensionals…and then I added it to my card base.
The Balloon? You can find this balloon stamp in the set Beary Best Friends, colored using a Marker and I cut it out using my sharp Paper Snips and added it to my card using Dimensionals.
The Flower? Again, this flower stamp can be found in the set Beary Best Friends – I stamped it, colored it using Markers and punched it out using my 1″ Circle Punch and added it to my card again using Dimensionals.
That ‘Party this Way” Arrow? That is a stamp from the set Party This Way and you can get that set for FREE right now with a $50 purchase during Sale-a-bration – I stamped it using Black Ink and cut it out using my scissors and added it to my card again using Dimensionals

To add some cute sparkly & girlie finishing touches I added a couple of small Rhinestones to the two flowers – I just love how it turned out…
And then I decided to make some Beary Cute Party Favor Treat Bags…
With being so busy last week, I decided to take a short cut and get some gift bags from Target to decorate and I found some cute flowery bags that I could embellish with this cute bear.
I used the same bear and flower stamps, colored them with Markers and punched the bear out using my 2 1/2″ Circle Punch – I added them to my bag but it was missing something…
I found the PERFECT wording in another Build-a-Bear Stampin’ Up! stamp set – Beary Nice Wishes that you can find on pg 95 – I stamped those cute words, punched out a Melon Mambo heart to pop over the stamped heart and using my paper trimmer to cut it out…
To add a cute touch I used my scissors to cut that V in each end to give a banner look – and then I added it to my bag using a Dimensional at each end – I curved the banner out a little in the middle and filled the bags with goodies – the girls LOVED them…
The Sleepover went GREAT – the girls enjoyed a trip to Build-a-Bear Workshop where they stuffed their bears, came home for Pizza & a Movie and disappeared upstairs to bed…they finally all fell asleep at 11.30 pm…
I thought they would all wake up exhausted…but oh no…check them out at 7.30 am the next morning (big apologies to my neighbors LOL)…
They all bounced for AN HOUR and had great fun!!! Where do they get their energy from? I wish I could have some of it!

Whew! You were a busy little bee! I got tired just reading what you and Hubby did to get ready for staging your home. I am going to have to do this in a couple of months. Once the last gets moved out! Hopefully by the end of April! Then I will mad dash to get this house in order. I feel it will take a couple of years to sell…in this economy…but nothing like clearing the 29 years of collecting out and starting afresh! I kinda feel ready now!!!?
Super cute card and bags!! You probably already know this, but you can also use square punches to notch your CS banner instead of scissors. Wow, I’m exhausted just from reading all you’ve done on the house. Where are y’all moving to? Still in Austin, or elsewhere?
