This is a really simple card perfect for Fall that features apples in autumn colors…
I know that we have apples available in our stores year round these days, but still…I guess apples remind me of the Fall because of memories of picking them whilst stepping on crunchy brown leaves on my Grandparents farm when I was young…
So today I made a simple fall themed card using stamps from the set Perfectly Preserved that you can find on pg 29 of the Holiday Mini Catalog…
My card base is Cajun Craze cardstock and onto it I layered a piece of Very Vanilla…
The sentiment…is from the set Tea Shoppe (pg 57) and I stamped it in Soft Suede ink directly onto my layer – simple!
That colorful band…of patterned paper gives a great backdrop to my stamped images. It is from Orchard Harvest DSP which you can find on pg 28 of the Holiday Mini Catalog and features BEAUTIFUL fall themed papers – I love them all so it was tough deciding which pattern to use on this card!
The stamps…those images are ALL stamped using stamps from the set Perfectly Preserved (pg 29 of the Holiday Catalog)…
I chose inks for my apples that were also featured on the stripey background paper to tie them into it – the cross-hatch apples are stamped using More Mustard ink and the solid apple is stamped using Cajun Craze ink…
The stem is stamped using Soft Suede to tie it into my sentiment.
I then added this layer to my card using Dimensionals to make those apples pop even more.
And that is it – one very simple but effective fall themed card – quick & easy to make a batch of, making it a perfect card to make for teachers & friends…
