Have you seen the new cute Banner Punch that you can get for FREE during Sale-a-bration?!
You can find it on pg 13 of the Sale-a-bration Brochure and it is ALOT of fun to use – it has a co-ordinating stamp set to use with it but you can also use it on it’s own to make cute banners out of patterned papers…
This is what I did on my card here…
That is one CUTE birthday card that is very quick & easy to make – and cost effective too because you can use any scraps that you have to hand!
The card base…is simply Crumb Cake onto which I layered another piece of Crumb Cake sized 4″ x 5 1/4″…
The banner…I used scraps of pretty paper from Retro Fresh DSP (pg 19 Occasions Catalog) and added them to my card using Mini Glue Dots – I then tied around a piece of Linen Thread (pg 173) and finished with a cute little bow on the front…
The sentiment…I stamped the Happy Birthday image from the set Bring on the Cake (pg 14 annual Catalog) in Early Espresso ink so that it really stands out…
The finishing touch…it needed a little something something and so I found the perfect embellishment – I stamped that little flower using a stamp from the set Banner Blast (also featured in the Sale-a-bration Catalog!) using Pool Party ink and punched it out using a punch from Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (pg 180) – that punch co-ordinates with that stamp perfectly making it quick & easy to do!
And then I added a small Pearl to the center and voila – one CUTE little card that was easy & fun to make!
