Today I decided to do something that I find SO relaxing and I don’t do enough of it – today I decided to use my Ink Pads & Blender Pen to color in some images…
I wanted to color floral images and I found the perfect stamps to use in the set So Very Grateful which you can find on pg 32 of the Occasions Catalog or online by clicking HERE – it features two beautiful large floral stamps and three sentiments and those floral stamps are just perfect for many occasions including Easter & Mothers Day which are both just around the corner…
Here is my card – it’s clean & simple but with a splash of vibrant color…
This card uses a bunch of the 2013-2015 In Colors and I love how well they work together!
The card base...is Early Espresso onto which I layered a piece of Strawberry Slush.
The floral images…are stamped on Whisper White card stock using Jet Black Stazon Ink – I use that ink whenever I color images because it is a solvent ink meaning that it will not run when it gets damp – the image will stay crisp & true…
The coloring…I used a Blender Pen (pg 164) and Ink Pads to color in my flowers – I used the colors Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana and Strawberry Slush for the flowers, Pistachio Pudding for the leaves and Baked Brown Sugar for the flower centers…
The sentiment...the ‘thank you’ stamp is also in the set So Very Grateful and I stamped it using Early Espresso ink and die cut it out using a banner die from Circle Card Thinlits…
The finishing touch…I wrapped around a piece of White Bakers Twine (pg 173) and tied a bow at one end of the banner.
I love how this card turned out – simply by switching out the sentiment you can theme it for Easter, Mothers Day, Weddings – this is one very versatile stamp set!
