Well, this crazy August heat in Texas has me really dreaming of cold weather…combined with seeing the new Holiday Catalog, I am really in the Christmas spirit in August LOL…and so I wanted to show you a clean & simple but striking holiday card I made…
My card today is simple and only uses two colors – yes, it’s another made with stamps from Thoughtful Branches – can you tell I’m addicted to that set?! Seriously, if you don’t have this fabulous set of stamps yet, you really do NEED it!
And here it is…a simple black & white snow scene with some shimmer…

My card uses just two colors – Whisper White and Basic Black – which gives a stark but pretty elegant look I think…
And being a holiday card, of course I had to glitterize it – I used my Fine Tip Glue Pen to draw lines along the ‘ground’ and dots in the trees and sprinkled on Dazzling Diamonds Glitter – shake it off and as you can see, you end up with a sparkly snowy look to your card…
It’s really tricky to capture that glitter but if you click on the photo below it will bring up a larger version and hopefully you will get the idea – it looks just like snow has fallen 0 in real life, it is super glittery white!
The sentiment is from the holiday set Reason for the Season that you can find in the Annual Catalog – that phrase just stood out to be used on this card because the tree scene makes me feel peaceful…
Pretty simple card but I love that about it – the simplicity kind of makes it cool, if you know what I mean…
