I made the card I am featuring today for the Global Design Project #109 which is a Color Challenge…

This is the very first Global Design Project Challenge that I’ve taken part in – it’s been a long time since I’ve taken part in any challenges, but I wanted to get back into them because they bring out creativity, which is especially great if your crafting mojo is eluding you!

The challenge this week was to incorporate these three colors into a project:

GDPD109

As soon as I saw them Christmas sprang to mind and that is exactly what I used them for…

I have a Project Sheet for you detailing all measurements, the colors I used & full instructions on how to make this card below – just look for the red words to find it.

The background snow falling effect was created using the Softly Falling Embossing Folder and the pretty plaid paper that it is matted on to is from Merry Little Christmas DSP.

The bicycle is stamped and die cut using stamps & dies from the Bike Ride Bundle and I popped those wreaths onto the wheels for a bit of festive trim…

The wreaths were stamped and die cut using items from the At Home With You Bundle and I used my NEW Old Olive Light Blends marker to color them in – I pondered on how to highlight the berries because of course I couldn’t use red and so I went with Gold Glitter to make them sparkle.

The lamp was die cut using dies from Christmas Lamppost Thinlits and I popped a piece of Gold Glimmer Paper behind to make the light shine!

The banner was stamped and die cut using items from the Brightly Lit Christmas Bundle and I added a little sprig of holly to the side…

I added some Black Shimmer Ribbon and Gold Metallic Thread behind the white layer and to finish it off, I dotted around some black and gold sequins that I took from the Mini Sequin Trims…
