Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for October!  We have a great bunch of colors to work with this month and the challenge is that we have to use ALL of these colors on our projects!

I decided to give myself an extra challenge to make a Christmas card using these colors – yes, not very traditional – but a great challenge it was!  And here is what I came up with…

I have a FREE Project Sheet for you that contains the instructions to make this along with photos and the colors I used –  just look for the red words below to find it.

It was a tricky one to angle and capture due to all of the shiny silver on it!  I decided to use Soft Suede for my base and go from there – on top of the colors to fuse, we are also allowed to use neutrals plus silver & gold on our projects and I took advantage of that as soon as I saw the perfect things to use as my main focal features in the Memories & More Merry Little Christmas card pack – the beautiful acetate cards with the silver ornament and words ‘Christmas Cheer’ on them…

I decided to cut out the silver ornament and set it on a background of white cardstock with white die cut ornaments surrounding it that I cut out using dies from Card Front Builder Thinlits…

To add some texture I embossed the Fresh Fig layer with the Quilt Top Textured Embossing Folder – I love the subtle bit of texture it brings to that fig layer.

I added a piece of Fresh Fig 1/8″ Ribbon plus a piece of Silver Mini Sequin Trim above ‘Christmas Cheer’ and onto that I added a couple of Lemon Lime Twist leaves cut using the Holly Berry Punch and for the contemporary berries, I added a couple of Pumpkin Pie dots from Brights Enamel Shapes…

I love that you made this color scheme into a Christmas card. So creative! I love the little ornaments in the background too, give it some interesting unexpected texture and dimension.
