Snowman Window Holiday Card

This is a card that I originally created for a swap – it turned out sooo cute that I just had to make some more for another swap – everyone seems to love it :-) It uses some fab new Designer Series Paper from the pack Holiday Treasures, and some of my current favorite colors – Riding Hood Red and Baja Breeze…and of course my old faithful, Chocolate Chip :-)

I used the Hostess Set Window Dressing – I stamped the parts of the window that I wanted to use with a Chocolate Chip marker, colored the frame with Watercolor Wonder Crayons and cut out the window panes using a craft knife – I then attached acetate to the back of the window to make it look like glass. I used Whisper White Craft ink to stamp the snow using the Polka Dot background stamp onto Baja Breeze cardstock and attached the snowmen, who were stamped onto Shimmery White cardstock to give them a little glitz :-)

I mounted the window frame onto the snow scene using dimensionals to give the lift.I cut a wooden skewer to size and used my Chocolate Chip Refill to color it. I then cut drapes and attached them to the skewer and window frame using Tombow Mono Adhesive which worked really well. I then cut the paper and cardstocks for matting, used my Scallop Edge Punch (which I love!) and added a piece of Riding Hood Red Taffeta to add the finishing touch – along with my sentiment, which is a rub-on from the Chit Chat package.Isn’t it cute? :-)
