Party Penguin…

Where we are right now I am seeing lots of fun and vibrant colors and so today I wanted to show you a card that fits in just perfectly with this theme…

Today’s card features fun colors, patterned papers and a cute penguin holding party balloons and this fun card was made by Sandy Carlson…

Isn’t it adorable?  Perfect for kids and grown-ups alike…the penguin was made using the Two-step Owl Punch and he is so much fun and easy to make…

You can find my tutorial on how to make your own super cute penguin using this punch by clicking HERE

Sandy used the colors Pumpkin Pie, Rich Razzleberry and Whisper White as the core colors on her card – that patterned paper is from Sweet & Sour Specialty DSP and to make the balloons she simply punched out circles of this using a 1″ Circle Punch and used Linen Thread for the strings…

Other punches that she used include the 2 1/2″ Circle, Word Window and Modern Label Punches…

Finishing touches?  A piece of vibrant 5/8″ Pumpkin Pie Grosgrain Ribbon tied around and the party hat for the penguin – simply stamped using a stamp from the set Party Hearty onto Rich Razzleberry cardstock and cut out.

I just LOVE this fun card and wanted to show you how you can use your punches in a very versatile way – I can’t wait to make some cards just like this – my girls’ friends will love them!
