Another stamp that caught my eye in the Holiday Catalog was a beautiful large Dove belonging to the set Calm Christmas…
I love the size of the dove stamp simply because it makes a stunning focal point on a card…and the beautiful patterning on the stamp it makes it a perfect candidate for Heat Embossing to make the design really shine through…
I participated in a Team card swap featuring products from the new Holiday Catalog and this is the stamp set that I decided to use for it, and here is my card…
The dove…isn’t it gorgeous? I decided to heat emboss this image and stamped it using Versamark ink, sprinkled on Silver Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool – just GORGEOUS – look at that patterning & shine…
The patterned paper…I attached this to my card base and at the other end added a strip of paper from Winter Frost Specialty (pg 29 Holiday Catalog).
To cover the join between the two pieces, I popped a strip of Island Indigo on top and then added a piece of Silver 1/8″ Ribbon (pg 28 Holiday Catalog) on top.
The finishing Touch…I tied a little bow using Silver Ribbon and added it to the bottom of the tag which really finished the card off…
My swaps were mailed off today and I cannot wait to see what the other participants made…I will hopefully be able to showcase them here soon!
