Banner Blast is my favorite stamp set that you can get for free in the Sale-a-bration catalog – and even better is that it has a co-ordinating Banner Punch which makes it super easy & fast to make cute cards fit for any occasion…
Check out this sweet & simple note card that I made using that Stamp Set & Punch along with another Sale-a-bration freebie – the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder…
Isn’t it sweet? And a breeze to make!
The card base…is Primrose Petals cardstock that I cut to be 8″ x 4″ and then folded in the center to give me a 4″ square card front.
The white layer…I layered on a piece of Whisper White that measures 3″ square which I then textured using my Big Shot and the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder – that random dotted look makes a perfect background for many occasions – now looking at it, wouldn’t it be perfect to make fabulous snow for cards & scrapbook pages?
The banner…I tied a piece of White Bakers Twine (pg 173) around that textured layer and then positioned my banner pieces just underneath using Dimensionals to make them ‘pop’ and tied a bow on the twine in center for a cute touch
The white banner pieces…easy to make using the Banner Punch – I simply punched two banner shapes from Whisper White cardstock…
The stamped center banner piece…I took a stamp from Banner Blast and stamped it using Primrose Petals ink and used that Banner Punch to punch it out – fun & fast!
The flowers…aren’t they sweet? Stamped using Pool Party ink and a little flower stamp from Banner Blast – now that cute little flower stamp is easy to cut out because it co-ordinates perfectly with a punch from Itty Bitty Shapes Punch Pack (pg 180)
Now if you want to bling this card up a little, here is an easy way to do it – just add another white layer and 2 pearls to the flower centers…
This gives the card a touch more elegance without a whole lot of effort…
