‘Tis the season of weddings upon us and today I decided to pull out my ‘To Have & To Hold’ stamp set and make an elegant silver, gray and white themed card to showcase another fab piece of Designer Series Paper.
I also decided to use some items from the Occasions Mini Catalog – the beautiful Whisper White Satin Ribbon and a piece of paper from the Walk in the Park DSP pack which lends itself perfectly to this card…the photo isn’t the best as today the light just wasn’t co-operating…
I stamped my bride and groom image onto Whisper White cardstock using Stazon Black Ink and colored it using Watercolor Wonder Crayons and my Blender Pen – I wanted just a splash of color on the bride and groom. I then matted this onto a piece of Brushed Silver Cardstock.
I cut a piece of Textured White cardstock to size and used my Eyelet Border punch to create the edge – I then distressed the remaining edges using my scissors and matted the other layers onto it. I took a stamp from the Hostess set ‘Sweet Little Sentiments’ and stamped it onto Basic Gray cardstock using Versamark Ink – I sprinkled on Silver Embossing Powder and used my Heat Tool to set it. I then punched it out using the Curly Label Punch and made slits using the Horizontal Slit Punch .
The card base is Whisper White cardstock onto which I layered a piece from Walk in the Park DSP – I placed my top layers onto it and adhered them using Dimensionals. I threaded a piece of Whisper White 5/8″ Satin Ribbon through the slits – I attached the Curly Label onto the card base again using Dimensionals.
Finally I got my Pretties Kit out and threaded some pretty beads onto the hat pin – I tied a piece of ribbon around it and adhered it to the card front using glue dots – and there you have a very elegant wedding card :-)
