Well my Holiday Mini order arrived yesterday and as soon as I saw it I knew that Patterned Pines would be my ‘go to’ holiday set – I love those trees and each has a different pattern on it making it so easy to get very varied looking cards by matching up with different designer series papers and stamps to make patterned backgrounds…

One tree has snowflakes, another has paisley and the third has swirls and poinsettias – my card below uses silver snowflakes as a border but I am already thinking that I can use this with my new Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder (also in the Holiday Mini) or my Perfect Details swirled Texturz Plate…or the swirly poinsettia stamp in the same set…

The Holiday Mini is fabulous and features Patterned Pines as a limited time only Hostess stamp set – spend $150 and you can get this fabulous set for FREE along with other free hostess benefits…you can view this mini catalog online by clicking HERE – and don’t forget to check out the fabulous Sweet Rewards Promotion where you can get ANY item from the Holiday Mini for just $10 – click here for details…

The card above uses a base of Brushed Silver cardstock onto which I stamped Merry Christmas using Always Artichoke ink – this stamp is from Many Merry Messages which you can find on pg 33 of the main catalog. I cut a piece of Always Artichoke cardstock to size and using Versamark Ink stamped snowflakes and applied Silver Embossing Powder and set them with my Heat Tool. The snowflakes stamp is from Serene Snowflakes which you can find in the Holiday Mini on pg 26.

I wrapped around a piece of Whisper White Tafetta with a piece of Silver Elastic Cord on top which you can also find in the Holiday Mini on pg 27. Finally, I stamped the trees in Always Artichoke ink onto Whisper White cardstock and attached it using Dimensionals.

This card was very quick and easy to make and I think looks very stylish – I love how silver and green work together and I love to make cards that only have 2 colors – they are clean, simple and striking :-)

If you would like a paper copy please email me your mailing address by clicking HERE and I will be very happy to mail one out to you today :-)
