I have had ALOT of fun playing with my new Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Dies – if you don’t have this Die yet, you are soon going to realize just how much you need it!
Today I used this Die to make two very quick & easy Halloween & Fall themed treats – you can find the Curvy Keepsake Box Die on pg 11 of the Holiday Catalog and it is one of the most versatile dies I have ever seen!
Here they are together…I made the ghost one with kids in mind, but once I had finished it I realized that grown-ups would likely love to receive it too!
Aren’t they cute? They are fun, quick & easy to put together and you can use the Die that makes them for absolutely any occasion you can think of – so so versatile!
The box…I used Tangelo Twist cardstock and used the Curvy Keepsake Die to cut my box shapes – you need to cut two shapes for each box – and then you simply adhere them together at the bottom using Sticky Strip and bend them together – they fasten really easily!
The Ghost Box…I love the simplicity of this box – you could make a bunch of these quickly & easily ‘conveyor belt style’ and it will look like you spent hours assembling them when you really did not!
The trim…I used a piece of White & Tangerine Two Tone Twine (pg 45 Holiday Catalog) to tie a bow onto the box handle – now that it a fantastically striking & easy feature to add!
The tag…the ‘boo’ stamp is from the photopolymer online-only stamp set Bite Me – it is not featured in the annual catalog but you can find it in the online store by clicking HERE
Once stamped, I die cut the image out using one of the tag dies that you also get with the box die and tied it to the handle using White Bakers Twine (pg 206).
The ghost…is die cut using the ghost shaped die from Fun Fall Framelits (pg 46 Holiday Catalog) – isn’t he CAU-TE?! I then added his eyes & mouth by punching out 1/4″ circles from black cardstock and attached them using perfectly sized Glue Dots – and I added him to the box using a couple of Dimensionals…
Fill your box with goodies and you have one sweet spooky treat!
The Thankful Box…is more elegant and features some feathers…it would be a great addition to a thanksgiving table…add to each place setting filled with some yummy goodies…
The feathers…are super cute and made using two feather dies that you can find in Feathers Framelits Dies (pg 42 Holiday Catalog) – I cut my feathers out of these colors: Soft Suede, Cajun Craze and Baked Brown Sugar cardstocks.
I stamped ‘thankful for’ onto the largest feather using a stamp from Truly Grateful (pg 152) and bundled up & tied the feathers to the handle using a piece of Linen Thread (pg 206) and tied a bow at the top using a piece of Baked Brown Sugar Thick Twine (pg 206)
The tag…I stamped the ‘U’ using a stamp from the set Pictogram Punches (pg 89) and die cut it out using a tag die that you also get in the Curvy Keepsake Box Die set – I then tied it onto the handle using another piece of Linen Thread…
Which is your favorite box? Mine has to be the ghost box – I just love it!
Here is the shape of the Curvy Keepsake Die – as you can see, it also comes with three tag shaped dies to make personalizing & tagging your boxes easy! Click on the blue words below to view in the online store…
