December 1st…I can hardly believe it’s here so soon…where did the year go?! It is feeling like winter too today in Central Texas as a cold front comes through…I might be lighting the fire tonight!
To celebrate Winter’s arrival I made a card today using a stamp that is perfect for celebrating all Holidays…which I love because I have parents of the girls’ school friends on my holiday card list and I honestly do not know their religious beliefs and this stamp is perfect for making their holiday cards…
Here is my Happy Winter card…simple, bold & sparkly…
That stamped image is simply one BIG stamp called Wintertime that you can find on pg 23 of the Holiday Catalog or online by clicking HERE – it is super simple to use and because it is so large, becomes the focal point of your card = quick & easy card making = happy-under-time-pressure-Holiday-Stamper!
The card base…is simply Early Espresso onto which I layered a piece of Lost Lagoon cut to measure 3 3/4″ x 5″ to give a nice wide outer border…
The banner pieces…are simply scraps of Early Espresso that I shaped using a die from Banners Framelits (pg 231)…
The feature layer…I stamped the image using Wintertime and Early Espresso Ink onto Whisper White cardstock – I trimmed it to the size I wanted and layered it onto a piece of Early Espresso so that the banner pieces kind of flow into it…
What a fast & easy way to get a feature onto a card!!! I then added this layer to my card base using Dimensionals to make it pop out a bit.
The finishing touches…I dotted a bunch of small sparkly Rhinestone Jewels around the image and just love the Holiday sparkly feel that they add to the card…
And that is one quick & easy card that would be perfect for ‘assembly line’ style card making whilst watching TV in the evening – all you need is that fabulous stamp, two different colors of cardstocks and you are off!
I am sooo excited that December is here…one of the reasons is that I have been desperate to get this little pillow out and onto one of the sofa’s every since I received it at Founders Circle back in September!
Isn’t it cool? I am so happy it is finally out on display!!!
Now back to that awesome feature stamp – again, it is called Wintertime and here are the details – click on the blue words below to view in the online store…
