Welcome to 3-D Thursday and this week it is my turn to show you a little something – if you are looking for a last minute pretty way to package a cute handmade Christmas card with some photos I have an idea for you!
Plus it’s quick & easy to make so if you are like me and always running behind, you can easily knock a few of these up in a very short period of time!
Further down this post you will find a link to the FREE Project Sheet that has step by step instructions & color photos that you can save to your computer or print out and have on hand for easy reference PLUS you will find a full list of Supplies used to make this at the end of this post.
And here it is…a bright, colorful & fun Mini Scrapbook Album with pages created out of Clear Envelopes – quick & easy to make with no special tools required – it is absolutely perfect for popping photos in to give/mail to family!
Did I mention it is quick & easy to make? Yup – you will need two sheets of cardstock and will make 4 cuts for the basic album shape – you will make two score lines & fold along them – and will use tape to attach the cover to the base and that is the base album done – easy & fast!
And adding the pages could not be quicker or easier because they are simply Clear Medium Envelopes! Yup – you peel off the backing tape of each envelope and stick it to the spine section – layer up as many as you want – when done, use strong tape to cover the pile of sticky strips so they are not seen but you still have access to the back slit to pop your photos or notecards into!
Here is what it looks like inside finished up…you can’t see the pile of sticky strips at all – just the empty page protectors awaiting their contents…
And you get a pack of 50 of these Clear Envelopes for just $5 – think how many of these you can make for little cost!
These are brilliant last minute things to make and you can spend as little or as much time as you wish on the decorating!
The cover on this one is bright & bold and I think cheerful and perfect to open up on a dark winter’s day.
The striped paper on the spine is from Christmas Around the World DSP and the mitten is cut using a die from Many Mittens Framelits…
And as for sizing, check this out – you can pop a 4″ x 6″ photo in each clear envelope – how neat is that?! Awww…this is one of my babies and her first encounter with snow…
And here’s a last look at it all closed up…a pretty Christmas card and photo album for Grandma all in one!
