There is a super cute set in the Occasions Catalog that is perfect for your Easter projects…
It is called Eggstra Spectacular and you can find it on pg 32 – it is a set of 4 very cute stamps and my favorite is the bunny one…
I wanted to make a clean & simple card using it, and this is how it turned out…check out that sweet little bunny…
Isn’t he cute? He is currently my favorite Easter stamp – LOVE that little tail!!!
The card base…is Whisper White onto which I layered another piece of White to give the perfect backdrop for adding some color…
The grassy border…is made using the fabulous new Fringe Scissors (pg 31 Occasions Catalog) and a piece of Wild Wasabi cardstock – I cut the strip to be 1″ and I used those scissors to cut about halfway down to give me a fringe and a plain border at the bottom.
I then added it to my card and wrapped around a piece of Wild Wasabi 1/4″ Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon (pg 173) to cover the ‘join’ – I love how that stitched part pulls in my card base…
The sun…easy to make using a piece of yellow cardstock (I used Crushed Curry) and the 1 1/4″ Circle Punch (pg 182)…
The cloud…again, easy to make using a piece of white cardstock and that fab cloud shaped die from Word Bubbles Framelits (pg 36 Occasions Catalog) – LOVE that set of dies as they are so incredibly versatile – I will be using them for years to come! I added my cloud using Dimensionals so that it slightly covers the sun for a realistic look…
The bunny…he is stamped using Stazon Black Ink and that cute stamp from Eggstra Spectacular – you can color him in or add a little embellie to his tail, but I decided to leave him plain & simple – and I punched him out using my 1 3/4″ Circle Punch and added him using Dimensionals…
The finishing touch…I added a little button from Regals Designer Buttons (pg 168) through which I threaded a piece of White Bakers Twine and added it to my card just next to the bunny – I love how this continues the circle theme to this card…
