Another of my favorite stamp sets in the Holiday Catalog is the fabulous Festival of Trees along with it’s co-ordinating Tree punch…

I love that these co-ordinating items make my paper crafting life so much easier with no fussy-cutting required!

You can find Festival of Trees and the co-ordinating Tree Punch on pg 24 of the Holiday Catalog – and again, you can buy the Stamps & Punch as a BUNDLE at JUST $27.95 for both of them which saves you 15%!

Here is my card that I made using stamps & the punch along with a super cool technique that uses a baby wipe…I have a free printable tutorial showing you how to do this technique – find the link below…

I love using bold colors or a strong image against a plain white backdrop – you just don’t need to add anything fussy to create an eye catching card!  ALL of the stamps that I used to make this card are from the set Festival of Trees…

The card base…is simply Whisper White onto which I layered a piece of Old Olive cardstock sized at 3 1/2″ x 2 3/4″…

The sentiment…simply stamped using Black Memento Ink (pg 212) directly onto the card base for a striking look…

The tree…isn’t that neat?  For the base of it, I punched a black tree shape using my Tree Punch and attached it to a piece of Whisper White and then layered it onto a piece of Basic Black to give a framed look.

The stamped tree image…this is where I used the Baby Wipe Technique – it is fun & easy to do with just a few supplies – all you need is a baby wipe, ink refills and a solid stamp!

You add the ink randomly to the baby wipe which acts like an ink pad, and when you stamp your image you get a fabulous look – here is my ‘raw’ tree before I stamped over the top of it…

Because Festival of Trees is a two-step stamp set, you can stamp over the base image with another co-ordinating stamp – I did this and here is the result…

Isn’t that gorgeous?!  I then trimmed off the ‘trunk’ and added it to my punched tree base and added the tree layer to my card using Dimensionals…

I love how clean & simple this card turned out but with the added twist of a little technique in there too!
