There are SO MANY fabulous stamp sets in the Holiday Catalog and yet another of my favorites is called ‘For All Things’...
You can find For All Things on pg 41 of the Holiday Catalog – it is a set of 8 beautiful fall themed shapes & sentiments and is available in both wood & clear mount versions.
I decided to use stamps from it today to make a very clean & simple thank you card and this is how it turned out…
However hard I try to make more complex looking cards, I always fall back into making clean & simple cards – I think I love how the images pop when there isn’t a whole lot else on the card front!
The card base…is simply Whisper White onto which I layered a piece of Soft Suede that measures 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ – this gives a nice big border that in turn gives a framed look to the image.
The stamped panel…is simply another piece of Whisper White onto which I stamped my three images, all from the set For All Things – I stamped that watercolored background stamp using Baked Brown Sugar Ink and then I stamped the leaf image over it using Soft Suede Ink and then stamped the sentiment below it…
I added that panel to the card base using Dimensionals so that it creates even more of a framed look.
The finishing touch…it needed just a little extra something-something and so I popped a Soft Suede Candy Dot – from Neutrals Candy Dots (pg 208) – right next to that sentiment. If you haven’t used Candy Dots yet, they are fantastic – they give you the look of a brad without having to make holes and thread through a stem – LOVE ’em!
I love the simplicity of this card – it will be very quick & easy to make a batch of these for the fast approaching Thanksgiving – it will be here before you know it!
