Welcome to the Color Fusers Blog Hop for July!  As soon as I saw the color combo that we were given to work with this month, I thought of the beach!

And here it is…what do you think…does it make you think of the seaside too?

I knew I wanted to make a summer beachy kind of card and that I wanted to use one of the blues to create a watercolor wash background, and here is what I came up with…

I have a Project Sheet for you below detailing all measurements, the colors I used & full instructions on how to make this card below – look for the red words to find it…

Oh my, just looking at this card makes me daydream of sitting on a tropical beach sipping a fruity cocktail – every time I glance at it, it makes me feel relaxed!

I managed to use all 4 colors on my card plus added a neutral (that we are allowed to incorporate) – to create the watercolor wash background I used my Dapper Denim Ink Refill along with an Aqua Painter and wide sweeping movements working downwards, to get a nice washed effect…

That adirondack chair?  Yes, I used it again LOL – perfect for a beach themed card and it is a die from Seasonal Layers Thinlits and it is super easy to create!

The pale blue flower is stamped with Soft Sky Ink using a pretty flower stamp from Colorful Seasons and cut out using a coordinating die from Seasonal Layer Thinlits…

And the leaves?  Die cut out of Lemon Lime Twist cardstock using a die from Welcome Home Framelits and they give a nice little pop of color amongst the blues…

The ‘hello’ is stamped using Crumb Cake Ink and a stamp from Eastern Beauty – I decided to stamp it directly onto the watercolor wash background and love how that turned out…

And see that fine detail of the sand just beneath the chair?  I found another stamp in Eastern Beauty that was perfect to create this – how cool is that?!

Great use of the colors – and I love how the white chair REALLY looks white against that background!
