Welcome to 3-D Thursday and because there are 5 weeks in August, this week you get a BONUS – you get to see FOUR projects today and each has it’s own FREE PROJECT SHEET for you to download/print!

We were all tasked with using the new fabulous set of Wood Crate Framelits dies to create a little something and I decided to see if I could use it to make something a little different…

Further down this post you will find a link to the FREE Project Sheet that has step by step instructions & color photos that you can save to your computer or print out and have on hand for easy reference.

I decided that I wanted to make a little something with a cold & snowy Arctic theme…any guesses as to why???  And that led into the whole sled thing…pulled by a little team of dogs…housing some chocolates…and here is what I came up with…

Hehehehe – this was a fun one to make all right!  In the actual sled there are some chocolates – I think this would make a cute holiday table centerpiece – you could stack even more chocolates in there for some fun table treats!

Can you see how I made the dogs?  I used the reindeer die from Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits and trimmed down the legs and a few other areas and added a longer tail and ears – how fun is that?  I added collars using the new Tinsel Trim featured in the Holiday Catalog along with a few cute embellies…

Full details on how to transform a die cut deer into a dog are on my Project Sheet below.

Here’s a better look at the sled…I used Silver Foil Paper to make the runners and snowflake and the sled is also elevated for a more realistic look…

The sled houses some yummy chocolates – I love how the little person is perched on top of them!  He is from the Cookie Cutter stamp set and was punched out using the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch and colored using Markers…I added some Dazzling Diamonds sparkly glitter to the white furry bits – this is where your Fine Tip Glue Pen works well – a line of glue, sprinkle on the glitter and you are done!

The backdrop trees were cut using another die from Santa’s Sleigh Thinlits and ‘Sharing the Joy’ is from a brand new stamp set in the Holiday Catalog called ‘Ready for Christmas’ and I popped some whirls of Silver Metallic Thread behind it…

On the back of the sled I added a Boxwood Wreath – a quick tip when using those wreaths – so that they lay flat on your project, simply trim off the leaves on the back side – quick & easy to do and gives you a nice clean, flat look…

The wood crate die is fantastically versatile as you will see from our hop today – to be able to alter it to turn it into many different things is a-mazing – if you don’t have it, by now you know you need it!

The full supply list for my Dog Sled is below and on my Project Sheet which also has step by step instructions with photos showing you how to make this fun centerpiece – enjoy!
