Holiday themed Mugs of yummy treats!  Aren’t they cute?  They are so fun to make and use just one sheet of cardstock, some Designer Series Papers & embellishments and then you fill them with yummy treats…

I came across the template on the demonstrator-only part of the Stampin’ Up! website and knew as soon as I saw it that I wanted to make some of these cute mugs to share with you…please read on for the details plus a link to the tutorial showing you how to make your own…it is now just 12 weeks until Christmas Eve so I hope you are getting a great head start on your Holiday projects…here are my Mugs before I added any treats to them…

Click on any of the photos for a closer look…I wanted to make one cutesy mug and one elegant mug and found papers perfect for both themes in the Holiday Mini Catalog – I used papers from Candy Cane Christmas (pg 33) and Deck the Halls (pg 18)…

My first Mug has a base of Brushed Silver Cardstock (pg 170) and uses papers from Candy Cane Christmas…the sentiment is a stamp from the Holiday Mini set Tags til Christmas (pg 24) and I layered it onto silver and then mounted it onto a piece of textured Baha Breeze cardstock that I shaped using my Scallop Square Punch (pg 200)…the ribbon is  1/4″ White Grosgrain and I added a cute bow to one side…

I also cut out cute squirrels from a sheet of Candy Cane Christmas paper and attached them to my handle with Dimensionals for a cute accent…

My second Mug uses Early Espresso as it’s base and on this mug I decided to keep it simple in order to let the beautiful Designer Paper take center stage…the sheet of paper I used is from the gorgeous Deck the Halls pack and when I saw this particular paper I just had to use it for my Mug…

Onto the handle I tied a piece of Vanilla 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon and then tied on little tags that I made – I stamped the holly stamp onto another part of this sheet of paper and cut it out – I then stamped For You (taken from the set Teeny Tiny Wishes on pg 157) and mounted it onto a shape I punched out using my Jewelry Tag Punch (pg 202).  I used Linen Thread (pg 190) to attach the tags to my handle…

Finally I filled my Mugs with yummy treats…Hershey Raspberry Kisses went into the cute one and into my elegant one I put a Biscotti, a Starbucks Gift Card and some Hershey Nuggets…

To make my Nuggets look extra special I used strips of Deck the Halls papers to cover them – to do this, simply cut strips to be 1 1/8″ x 3″ and use a strong adhesive such as Sticky Strip to adhere them to your nuggets…it’s a great way to make them look extra special…

    Hi Sarah,
I’m sure I won’t qualify since I’m a fellow SU demo, but I wanted to let you know how much I enjoy your blog & what an inspiration it is for me.
I haven’t started having classes due to health issues, but you have inspired me to make these wonderful mugs for gifts to give to my friends & family.
I have also told friends & fellow stampers/paper crafters about your blog so they can enjoy it as much as I do.
My vote goes for the elegant mug. It’s simply quite elegante!

    Ann :)

I’ve done it again … stopped by your blog and found myself lost in its creativity! Yes, an hour has passed and I am still enjoying my visit. These mugs just make me drool. I love them both but have to say that the ‘cutesy’ one is for me! Thank you again, Sarah, for Inspiring, Creating and Sharing!

Hi Sarah! I think both mugs are beautiful, but if I had to pick just one it would be the cutesy one! I love the squirrels! Thank you so much for the chance to win one of your wonderful creations!

Love both of them, but I think I would pick the one with the squirrels since I don’t have that paper and I can think of someone I would love to give it to!
Thanks for the tutorial. How kind of you to share with everyone!

Oh Boy, the things I miss when I get behind on my emails :( These are ADORABLE and would make great gifts for my teacher coworkers. Of the 2, the one with the squirrels is the cutest to me- the squirrels remind me of my Mom, nicknamed Squirl, who is watching over me every day. Thanks for sharing and steering us in the direction of the templates and directions!
