I hope you enjoyed this weekend’s blog hop and that you came away with lots of ideas for the items that you get for free in the Sale-a-bration Catalog…
During Sale-a-bration you get to choose one item for FREE with EVERY $50 that you spend – and this is unlimited meaning spend $100 and you get to choose 2 items…spend $150 and get three items for free PLUS hostess benefits too – what a deal!!!
I used the set Sweet Summer – it is a set of 9 and is available in both Clear and Wood Mount versions plus also available digitally as part of the free Digital Content CD…my original blog hop post is below this one and in it I promised to post more details, photos, tutorials and my blog candy winner today…please read on to find out more…
My first card was very clean and simple and features my favorite stamp from this set – the swirly stem – I love this stamp because it is incredibly versatile…
I simply stamped it using Early Espresso ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock and added some little Pearls to the berries…the thanks stamp is from Fabulous Phrases and I added Pearls here too to tie it into my image…
I simply matted this using Dimensionals onto another piece of Vanilla and then onto a piece of Early Espresso cardstock – I used my Big Shot and Framed Tulips Embossing Folder to create the textured frame and finally matted this onto my card base of Espresso – I love how it turned out.
Next was my bright and fun glittered chocolate bar…wow I am loving using the brand new Red Glimmer Paper that you can find on pg 7 of the Occasions Mini Catalog – ALL of the glitter stays on the paper even when you cut into it – fabulous product!
See those sparkles? In real life they are amazing – again, I used my swirly stem stamp and stamped it using Old Olive ink – I drew lines down from that stem using my Old Olive Marker and added hearts that I punched out using my Heart to Heart Punch and I added Rhinestones for a bit more dazzle…
I used a stamp from Valentine Defined for my sentiment and tied around a piece of Real Red Satin Ribbon for a touch of luxury…
How did I wrap my chocolate bar? SO simple – I cut a piece of Red Glimmer paper to be 7 1/2″ x 5 3/4″ and placed my Hershey bar into the center of it – I wrapped the paper around and secured the back seam and both ends using Sticky Strip. I then used my Crimper on each end to make a very firm seal…and there it is ready to be decorated!
My next item was a cute one perfect for girls…it was my Lollipop Flower Pot that features a dum dum pop hidden behind the stem and pot…you can see a full photo of it in my blog hop post below…
I used a stamp from the Sale-a-bration set Punch Bunch to stamp my flower in Rose Red ink and punched it out using my Scallop Circle Punch. I stamped my flowers and stem using stamps from Sweet Summer and colored them using inks and my Blender Pen, adding Pearls in the center of each flower for a cute touch…
And here is my flower pot – made of Crumb Cake cardstock with a piece of patterned paper from Springtime Vintage DSP and Rose Red Seam Binding to decorate the top – you can find these two items in the Occasions Mini Catalog…
Here is my flower pot from the side showing you how the dum dum pop is disguised…cute, eh?

And onto my last item which was a card featuring soft colors and that cute swirly stem…
I love the soft and beautiful combination of the colors Crumb Cake and Baja Breeze – together they give a very feminine look and this is even more enhanced on this card by the addition of a piece of Baja Breeze Seam Binding which adds a touch of luxury…
My stem was stamped using Always Artichoke and I cut my flowers out and added them using Dimensionals – my sentiment uses a stamp from You’re a Gem that is an incredibly versatile set featured in the Occasions Mini – I punched it out and matted it using Oval Punches and added a little Pearl to it along with a couple on my stem too…
My background? Made using my Big Shot and Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder…and there is one soft and beautiful card!
Thank you SO much for returning to visit me – I hope you enjoyed the blog hop – be sure to come back tomorrow for Tutorial Tuesday where every week I feature a free tutorial plus the chance to win some weekly blog candy!
And finally onto the winner of my Blog Candy – a roll of beautiful Seam Binding – drawn using random.org the winning comment is no. 51:
