Good morning and happy weekend…this morning here in Texas it is a bright, sunny and glorious day – and as such, I thought I would show you an altered clipboard that I made that reflects this beautiful day so well…I wanted to make a bright and cheery place to put my weekly schedule up during the school summer vacation and I think it turned out great…

It uses papers from the Good Morning Sunshine and Birds of a Feather Designer Series Paper (DSP) packs – right now Stampin’ Up! have a sale on them – when you buy 3 packs you get 1 pack for FREE – and I also have my own promo running where you can get another free pack of paper too…you can see more details about these promos by clicking HERE – but hurry, these promotions end tomorrow May 31st…

I measured and cut a piece from Birds of a Feather DSP to fit my clipboard and rounded the corners using my Corner Rounder Punch – I love that this paper features whimsical feathers – it suits my owl theme so well…

I then choose some pieces of chipboard from the package On Board So Tweet (pg 183) and painted the stems brown and covered the leaves using papers from Good Morning Sunshine DSP. I adhered them to my clipboard using Tombow Multipurpose Glue and added some flower buttons from Button Latte (pg 176) through which I threaded Linen Thread (pg 179) for a finishing touch.

I covered the owl with paper from Good Morning Sunshine, painted his feet yellow and added a Tangerine Tango orange nose – for his eyes, I used more buttons from Button Latte and using a Glue Dot added a small piece of 1/4″ Chocolate Chip – I then attached him to my clipboard using Dimensionals so that he looks like he is sitting on the branch…

It was so very easy and fun to make and came out looking fab – so summery – I need to stock up on those cute papers so that I can make one each for my kids – they are going to LOVE them :-)

So cute!!! How did you fit the paper around the clip part. I am trying my hand at my first one and am puzzled. How do you do that? :)

    Thanks
