I absolutely LOVE the stamp set True Friend – the flowers are just gorgeous and when I was planning a scrapbook page around my little girl who was wearing a cowgirl hat, I knew that those boho flowers would be just perfect…
The page is Riding Hood Red Textured cardstock (you could use Ruby Red as it has a very similar look) – I took some letters from On Board Loads of Letters and colored them using my Chocolate Chip marker – I then sprinkled Chocolate Glitter onto the letters from the Fine Supernova Stampin Glitter pack (pg 180) – this glitter is just beautiful and gives a wonderful uniform coverage to items. I then adhered the letters in place using Tombow Multi Glue.
I stamped a bunch of flowers from the sets True Friend and Priceless in Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red and Close to Cocoa onto Very Vanilla cardstock – I then cut them out using Paper Snips and layered the pieces of the large flowers using Dimensionals.
I matted my 5″ x 7″ photograph onto a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock that I ran through the Big Shot and dry embossed using a plate from Stampin Up Backgrounds 1 (pg 203) – I then distressed the edges using my Paper Snips and mounted this layer onto a piece of red Bella Rose DSP and tore one edge to continue my distressed theme. I then matted this onto a brown piece of Bella Rose – I used my Eyelet Border Punch on one edge and tied around a piece of Chocolate Taffeta Ribbon finishing in a knot. I finally matted them onto a piece of Very Vanilla and adhered the layers to my scrapbook page.
I attached the flowers using Mini Glue Dots and stamped a sentiment from Define Your Life – I clipped on a brown Library Clip with Linen Thread tied around it and used Dimensionals to adhere it to my photograph.
I love how the boho flowers, choice of papers, colors and distressed edges work with my cowgirl themed page :-)
