Today’s Holiday Showcase card I just love…it has layers and is a little more complicated than others but the end result is just beautiful…

I love the set A Cardinal Christmas as you can create beautiful cards using the wonderful bird in that set but I wanted to show you that you can use the other stamps in that set to create an amazing card too…

I used Old Olive and Ruby Red markers to ink up the stamp and stamped it twice onto Whisper White cardstock.  I then stamped the sentiment using Chocolate Chip Ink and used a dauber to put a little Old Olive ink around the edges.  I then used my Word Window punch to make the tabs and secured them to the layer using Vintage Brads.  I attached this layer to a piece of Ruby Red cardstock using Dimensionals and then layered it onto a piece of Chocolate Chip.

For the card base, I took a piece of Old Olive and stamped snowflakes from the set Snow Swirled onto the top part of it using Versamark Ink and sprinkled on Silver Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool.  I attached a piece of Chocolate Chip cardstock to the lower part of my card, the edge of which I shaped using my Scallop Edge Punch and Paper Piercing Tool.  I then adhered a piece of green DSP and 5/8″ Whisper White Grosgrain Ribbon and attached it all to my card base of Whisper White cardstock.

Finally I attached the top layers to the card base and there you have a very elegant and beautiful Holiday card…
