Forgive me if you have seen this before but I just LOVE that Holiday Mini Cold & Cuddly set and used it to make my Founders Circle swaps…for my new customers I wanted to show it again today in my Holiday Showcase…
You can find this set on pg 18 of the Holiday Mini that you can view online by clicking here – it features some adorable snow characters that are sooo cute – and to create a frosty feel, I decided to use blue, silver and white as my main colors…
This card is sized 5 1/2″ square – the base is Bashful Blue onto which I used my Polka Dot Background stamp using Whisper White Craft Ink to create a snowfall effect – THIS STAMP IS ON THE RETIRING LIST – click here for the list of stamps that will no longert be available after January 4th. I then cut a 3 1/4″ circle using my Circle Scissors Plus into the cardfront to create a window and I used the Eyelet Border Punch to make the edge pretty and to carry on the circular/snow theme. I cut a piece of Brushed Silver cardstock to trim the bottom of the card.
I stamped my sentiment using a stamp from Many Merry Messages and embossed it using Versamark Ink, Silver Embossing Powder and my Heat Tool. I stamped my ice image using Bashful Blue Ink and the polar bear using Close to Cocoa – I stamped one of his legs again and cut it out and adhered it on to cover the blue line of the ice – I then attached this layer beneath the card front.
I took a snowflake stamp from the Hostess set Snow Buddies (on pg 5 of the Holiday Mini) and stamped & embossed it and used a Circle Punch to cut it out – I then mounted this onto a larger Circle of Brushed Silver. I attached 3 lengths of Silver Elastic Cord to the cardfront and added the snowflake medallion using Dimensionals – I tied a little piece of elastic cord at the top to finish it off – isn’t it cute?!
