Festive Holiday Red and Green…

Today’s Holiday Showcase project is a very simple but eye-catching holiday card in the very festive colors of red and green…

It is super simple and very quick to make and because it uses just two colors of cardstock, is also very cost effective.

The base of the card is Real Red and onto it I stamped my sentiment from the set Heard from the Heart using Stazon Black ink.  Onto the base I layered a piece of Old Olive, one of the edges of which I scalloped using the Scallop Edge Punch.

I cut another strip of Real Red to size and tied a piece of 5/8″ Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbon around it, finishing with a knot in front and adhered this to my card base.

I took a snowflake stamp from the set Season of Joy and stamped it three times using Versamark Ink onto Whisper White cardstock, sprinkled on Silver Embossing Powder and set it using my Heat Tool.  I then punched these out using my 1 1/4″ Circle Punch and layered each onto a 1 3/8″ circle of Old Olive.  I adhered them to my card and voila – a very simple, quick to make and beautiful Holiday card.
