OK on to today’s Holiday Showcase idea…I am going to show you a fantastic and economical way to package up home-baked cookies and treats for family, friends and neighbors – and the best bit is how quick and easy these are to put together…it literally took me 10 minutes to make the one below…
Stampin’ Up! introduced Treat Boxes this year – they are priced at just $3.95 for a pack of 5 and are gorgeous – they are coated and are food safe, so you can put your fresh baked goodies straight into them. You simply dress them up with a piece of ribbon and whatever embellishments you like and voila – a beautiful and elegant treat holder…your friends and neighbors will be wowed…
The boxes arrive flat packed – you simply fold along the score lines and pop the tabs into place and you have your basic shape. To make mine Holiday themed, I simply added a piece of Real Red Ribbon to the flap and tied a knot in front – I took my Sweet Season stamp set and stamped the scalloped snowflake stamp twice in Real Red Ink onto Very Vanilla cardstock. I then used my Scallop Circle Punch to punch out one of the images and used my 1 1/4″ Circle Punch to punch out the the center snowflake from the other image – I layered this onto the first using dimensionals. If you haven’t seen it, Sweet Season is a stamp set full of perfect images and wording for your home-made goodies and you will use it year after year…
I then made a small hole in the top and threaded through a piece of Silver Elastic Cord and attached it to my box beneath the ribbon using a Mini Glue Dot. Then simply fill with cookies or other goodies and it is good to go and wow it’s recipient…
