Hehehehe…you are going to LOVE the upcoming Occasions Mini Catalog that debuts on January 5th and I can’t resist giving you a sneak peak…it has some absolutely amazing brand new products in it including Clear-Mount stamps – this is wonderful news for those of you with storage limitations or who simply love using acrylic mounting blocks…every new stamp set from this mini catalog onwards will be available in both wood mount or clear mount option AND the clear mount option is cheaper too – what great news to start the new year!
This new mini sees some new punches that have also acquired a brand new design – they can be folded up meaning that they take up less space to store…I love how innovative Stampin’ Up! are – they listen to their customers and demonstrators and make changes according to market demand…what an amazing company…
One of the sets in the Occasions Mini is Tiny Tags – it has a co-ordinating punch so that you can easily create cute sentiments and there are stamps for all occasions making it truely versatile. Below is a very cool and unusual Thank You make and take project we did at Founders using these items…the stamps and tag punch are perfectly sized to use with 1″ circles and flower centers…
The beautiful flower folds up and goes into the box making it a very beautiful and different way to say a big Thank You…and it is so fun and easy to make…be sure to come back and visit me this Friday the 1st on New Year’s Day – I am taking part in an Occasions Mini Blog Hop that runs through Sunday 3rd – there are 24 demonstrators taking part, all of whom have chosen an item from the brand new Occasions mini catalog to demonstrate to you what fab products there are and what you can create using them…plus there will be blog candy offered by many stops on the hop too…
To create the box – cut the box using the Big Shot and Bitty Box & Envelope Bigz XL Die – use a very strong adhesive such as Sticky Strip to adhere and assemble it. Tie a length of Soft Suede Polka Dot Grosgrain around the lid – then stamp the flower image using Versamark Ink onto Dusty Durango cardstock and punch it out using a 1″ Circle Punch. Color the flowered stamp from Tiny Tags using Old Olive and Dusty Durango Markers and stamp onto Very Vanilla cardstock – punch this out using the Medium Jewelry Tag Punch (debuting in the new mini on January 5th) and adhere to the Dusty Durango circle. Finally pierce a hole in the top of the tag and thread through a piece of Linen Thread and tie to the Soft Suede ribbon.
To create the flower – cut flowers from a piece of 12″ x 6″ Dusty Durango cardstock using the Big Shot and Flower Folds Bigz XL Die. Layer the flowers and adhere with glue dots. Color the flower stamp, again using Old Olive and Dusty Durango markers and stamp onto a piece of Very Vanilla cardstock. Color the Thanks So Much sentiment with the same markers and stamp next to the flower image using a Stamp-a-majig to make placement easy. Punch this out using a 1″ Circle Punch and use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere to the flower center.
Simply fold the flower petals, place it into the box, close the lid and there you have a very different, beautiful and elegant thank you to give to that very kind and special someone – guaranteed to brighten up their day…
