Simple Owl…

Continuing with my Clean & Simple theme – and I’ll tell you more about why later this week – today I got out my favorite set featuring beautiful bird cages and cute birds.

It’s called Aviary and you can find it on pg 121 and what a gem of a set – it is incredibly versatile and with the use of different colors lends itself to almost any occasion…

Aviary has no word stamps in it so today I am pairing it with a sentiment stamp from the set Hello Again which you can find on pg 110…it’s another that you can get for FREE right now during Sale-a-bration…

The colors I used are Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Early Espresso and I think it turned out cute…

I stamped my cage and drew the wire down to it using my Early Espresso Marker – for a cute touch I added a piece of 1/8″ Taffeta Ribbon (pg 191) – I tried tying a bow but that looked too fussy so I kept it simple with just a knot…

I added my owl and used my Stamp-a-majig to get him positioned just where I wanted him and then used Dimensionals to attach this layer to a Cherry Cobbler mat…

I textured my vanilla mat using my Big Shot and Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder and attached it to my card base.

Lastly I stamped my ‘hello’ sentiment from the set Hello Again and used my small Oval Punch to punch it out…finally I added it to my card using Dimensionals to make it pop off my card…

And there is one very simple and fun Owl card.
