Punch Art Snowman Treat complete with Snow Balls…

I wanted to make some quick holiday themed treats for teachers today and decided to get out my Punches, Cello Tube Bags and play!

I got the idea for the punch art Snowman’s from my wonderful and ultra talented team member, Darla Watson…I tweaked him and added a few things of my own and attached him on top of a Cello Bag with white M&Ms inside, and here he is…

Isn’t that adorable?  He is so much fun to make and you can get a real production line going if you want to make a few of them!

You need the following punches to make the basic shape – click on the blue words below to view/order in the online store…

• 119850  1 3/4″ Circle
• 119851  Curly Label
• 120907 Decorative Label

To make the basic snowman head:

• Head – punch a circle out of Whisper White cardstock using the 1 3/4″ Circle Punch
• Hat brim – use your Decorative Label punch to punch a shape out of black cardstock and use your paper trimmer to cut the brim to size
• Hat body – use your Curly Label punch to punch a shape out of black cardstock and use your paper trimmer to cut it in half
• Adhere all those together – I used Dimensionals – and there you have your basic snowman head

Additions:

You can draw his mouth and eyes onto the face using a Black Marker OR you can do as I did and use stamps – I used stamps from the set Stylin’ Snowfolk (pg 16 of the main Catalog) to stamp his mouth, nose, scarf and cute bird – this set allows you to stamp very cute snowmen or just their features and the stamps are perfectly sized for this project…

I cut the scarf out using my sharp Paper Snips and I punched out the bird using my 3/4″ Circle Punch…

I then filled a 1″ x 8″  Cello Bag with white M&Ms that I found in Target, sealed the top and attached my Snowman to the top of it using a Dimensional – the bags are a FABULOUS bargain at just $2.50 for a pack of 50 of them!!!

I then added a sentiment using a stamp from the set Snow Much Fun that you can find on pg 15 of the main Catalog, punched it out using the Modern Label Punch and attached it to the tube.

And that is it!  One quick, easy, economical and FUN treat to make & give!
