I don’t often have the opportunity to make wedding cards but finally it arrived!!!

I had a look in my stamp stash and found a feature stamp that I really wanted to use – the beautiful ‘Mr & Mrs’ stamp that can be found in the set Label Love (pg 33) and got to work figuring out what I could use around it to make it ‘weddingy’…

And I think this card turned out really stinkin’ cute!  It was tough to capture that white textured heart on the white backdrop, thus my card is on a bit of an angle, but I have a better angle of it in my post below…

wedding-hearts-cardIn real life that white heart really pops – it is beautiful!

The card base…is Basic Black onto which I layered a piece of Whisper White and then another layer of White on top, cut 1/4″ smaller to create a framed look.

The ribbon…I wrapped a piece of Whisper White 5/8″ Organza Ribbon (pg 173) around those two white layers and then I topped that with a piece of Whisper White 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon for a more luxurious look…

The sentiment…is from the set Label Love and I stamped it in Black Ink and punched it out using the perfectly co-ordinating Artisan Label Punch (pg 181)

The hearts…aren’t they adorable?  The base of each is made the same way – the scallop heart base is made using a die from Hearts a Flutter Framelits (pg 187) and the top heart shape is made using the Full Heart Punch (pg 183) and added to that base piece using Dimensionals…

The bride’s heart…both pieces are Whisper White and the top heart has been textured using the Beautifully Baroque Embossing Folder (pg 191) and has a line of Pearls (pg 171) running down the center – check out that beautiful pattern…

The groom’s heart…both base pieces are Basic Black – I then punched another Full Heart piece out of White, cut out the center section and adhered it to my black heart base -I added a small Cherry Cobbler ‘bow tie’ simply by cutting a small square in half…and I added 3 Rhinestones to simulate buttons…

I then punched another Full Heart piece out of Black and cut out the two side ‘jacket’ pieces and added them in place using Dimensionals to make them pop out…

The finishing touch…I decided to add two small Cherry Cobbler hearts that I made with the Small Heart Punch and added them to my card base…click on the photo below for a larger view…
