Happy Valentine’s Day y’all!
A few weeks ago I came across a very cute mini divided fishing tackle box…I knew I had to have it…and then I realized that I had the perfect stamp to use with in the set Hey Valentine…
The stamp that has the fish on it is PERFECT to use with this little box…and so I got to work, popped different candies for ‘bait’ in the divided spaces and here is my finished treat…
I just LOVE it – and then I realized that you could make these for any time of the year simply by snipping off the ‘hey valentine’ part of the sentiment…imagine end of year teacher gifts…fun summer beach vacation treats…party favors…see where I’m going?
The box…is a mini fishing tackle box that I found on amazon…I filled my compartments with valentine colored candies – M&Ms, Jelly Beans, Candy Corn in the small bits and in two large sections some Gummy Worms and Swedish Fish – LOVE that I could put some realistic ‘bait’ in there…

The band…I wrapped around a piece of 1 1/4″ White Jute Ribbon (pg 43 Occasions Catalog) – this ribbon fits really well into the theme because it is a course web type of look…
The stamped panel…I stamped the fish stamp from Hey, Valentine (pg 8 Occasions Catalog) using Memento Black ink and colored in the fish using Blendabilities Markers from the sets Coastal Cabana Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler – find them on pg 212 of the Annual Catalog…

I cut out the panel, matted it onto a piece of Real Red cardstock and added it to the top of my box using Dimensionals…and then popped a few small Rhinestones onto some of the bubbles to give a bit of sparkle and depth…
The tag…I stamped the fish stamp again and using a die from Banners Framelits (pg 213) to cut out the sentiment which I then trimmed to the size I wanted – I made a small hole in the end, threaded through some White Bakers Twine, made a small hole in the Jute Ribbon and tied it on. I added a single sequin from Bermuda Bay Sequin Trim (pg 13 Occasions Catalog) and added a Rhinestone in the center…
The finishing touch…I added a blue button from Sweet Dreams Designer Buttons (pg 39 Occasions Catalog) onto the Jute Ribbon and tied a little knot in the center…
I LOVE this sweet treat and plan to make a bunch more for summer vacation!
