As soon as I saw the stamp ‘Love is Kindness‘ in the Occasions Catalog I knew I had to have it because I knew it would be one of those incredibly versatile stamps…
You can use it on all sorts of cards all year round – it will work for thank you’s, birthdays, engagements, weddings, Easter, Valentines, Mothers Day – almost any occasion…
And it looks like such a little stamp…but wait…it really isn’t! I made a card today where it takes center stage and here it is…
Isn’t that a beautiful stamp? WOW I love it! Because it makes such a feature I decided to add nothing but some layering to frame & highlight it and I am super happy with how it turned out…
The card base…is Wisteria Wonder cardstock onto which I layered a piece of Basic Black sized 5 1/4″ x 4″ and then added another layer of black sized 5″ x 3 3/4″…
Love is Kindness stamp…you can find it by clicking HERE – I stamped it using Memento Black Ink onto a piece of Whisper White sized 4 1/4″ x 3″ and colored it using the light Markers from Wisteria Wonder and Old Olive Blendabilities – find them on pg 212 or online by clicking HERE
AND you don’t have to be a coloring expert to get that light/dark look on the petals – I simply colored one side of each flower a second time – easy, fast & gives a fabulous look…
To give the illusion of a thicker bouquet of flowers, I stamped the image a second time onto a piece of scrap white cardstock, colored some of the flowers, cut them and the newspaper bit out using my sharp Paper Snips (pg 215) and added it onto my first image, slightly staggered, using Dimensionals.
I then matted my image sheet onto another white layer sized 4 1/2″ x 3 1/4″ and just love how these layers help give a framed look – here is a closeup of that layering…
I absolutely love how stunning that focal image looks – got to be one of my current favorite stamps!
