I have so many favorite items in this year’s Sale-a-bration selection because many of them work so well together…
I came across a card that one of my Stampin BFF’s – Kay Kalthoff – designed that uses paper from Best Year Ever DSP onto which she stamped some images from the set Big Day and I just LOVED it – and so I had to make a few of my own because I knew my customers would love this idea too…
And here is my version…I made three different ones using various sheets of patterned papers…LOVE them all…
Isn’t that fun? I love the idea of directly stamping onto patterned papers – it works so well and makes for making some quick & fabulous birthday cards to have on hand for when you need them through the year!

The card bases…for the blue I used Coastal Cabana…for the yellow I used Crushed Curry…and for pink (see it below) I used Calypso Coral – and then onto each base I added a black layer to provide a bit of a dramatic backdrop.
The patterned papers…ALL are from the FREE Best Year Ever Designer Series Papers pack which you can find on pg 4 of the Sale-a-bration brochure…
The ribbon…I then wrapped around a piece of co-ordinating ribbon from the FREE Best Year Ever Accessory Pack (also on pg 4) and tied a little knot as a finishing touch…
The cake stamp…is from the FREE Big Day Stamp Set that you can find on pg 12 of the Sale-a-bration brochure – I simply stamped it using black ink directly onto the paper – LOVE how this looks!
The banner…is die cut using a die from Banners Framelits (pg 213) and onto it I stamped that big fab image – again, it is from the set Big Day – LOVE those stamps! – and I added the banner onto my card using Dimensionals.
The finishing touches…on the blue themed card I decided to add a row of Rhinestone Jewels along the stamped dotted edge on the banner…and on the pink one I popped a large Rhinestone Jewel to dot the ‘i’ in the word Big…
