So far this week I have shown you a Halloween card and a Holiday card both made using stamps from the fabulously versatile set Among the Branches and it’s companion embossing folder, Woodland – both of which can be found on pg 39 of the Holiday Catalog…
Today I am showing you a third card made using both items but this time with a Fall/Thanksgiving theme…it’s not too early to get a head start on these projects!
Here is my Fall themed card…inspired by a Convention display sample…
I love how those colors work so well together…I am now wishing for fall LOL…but it’s a ways away here in Central Texas! ALL stamps used on my card are from the set Among the Branches…
The card base…is Tip Top Taupe onto which I layered a piece of Soft Suede…
The textured layer…is made using the Woodland Embossing Folder and I used a Sponge Dauber to dab some Tip Top Taupe ink onto the tree trunks…and let me tell you, this was not an easy thing to do for me LOL – I like neat, clean & tidy stamping – to do some random blobs of color is definitely outside of my comfort zone!!!
The leaves…are stamped using Tangelo Twist, Soft Suede and Hello Honey inks…please click on the photos below for a closer look…
The tag…I stamped the Autumn Wishes stamp using Soft Suede and punched it out using my 2″ Circle Punch.
The twine…I wrapped a piece of Very Vanilla Thick Bakers Twine around my card twice and then wrapped around a piece of Linen Thread to give some different texture…
The finishing touch…I tied a little bow using Linen Thread to the side of my tag and in the center of it, tied a piece of Gold Metallic Thread for a bit of bling…
