Oh my gosh have you seen the Bear Hugs Bundle?  It is seriously the cutest stamp set I have seen for a while…and super versatile…with it’s own set of co-ordinating dies…and so much fun to play with!

I had an idea in mind for a Valentine teacher gift…I know they receive a lot of candy so wanted to do something a bit different, but I still wanted to give a food gift and when I was looking at this sweet stamp set an idea popped into my head…bears like honey, right?

So here is my gift…a honey filled mason jar, decorated using some of those adorable stamps from Bear Hugs and a sweet wooden honey dipper as a finishing touch – WANT A DIPPER FOR FREE?  Read on to find out how!

Oh this was so much fun to create – and I had to have a few spoonfuls of honey as I went along – LOVE the stuff!

The jar…is an 8 oz Mason Jar that I filled with local honey

The lid…I punched a 2 1/2″ Circle of Crumb Cake cardstock and textured it using the Honeycomb Embossing Folder – I then added it onto the jar lid and screwed the band on top – fast & easy & perfect for my theme!

I then stamped the honey jar using a stamp from Bear Hugs and die cut it out using the co-ordinating framelit in Bear Hugs Framelits.

Now I also used stamps from another set to complete the lid – the ‘bee mine’ and bee stamp are from the set Honeycomb Hello and I used a die from Bitty Banners Framelits & my 1/2″ Circle punch to cut them out…

The band…is simply a piece of 1 1/4″ Burlap Ribbon that I trimmed to size and frayed the long edges.  Around that I double tied a length of Linen Thread leaving a long length to spare to tie on the dipper.

The bear…super adorable, eh?  He is a stamp from Bear Hugs that I stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Markers…and die cut him out using his matching framelit…

The heart…is another stamp from Honeycomb Hello and I punched it out using the small heart punch that you can find in the Itty Bitty Punch Pack

The banner…that the Bear is holding is a stamp from Bear Hugs which I die cut out using that same banner die.

The finishing touch…is the sweet wooden honey dipper that I found online here – it is the 4″ version that is perfectly sized for a half pint jar – and using that extra length of Linen Thread, I tied it in place…

I am super happy with how this gift turned out – perfect for Valentine’s Day – but also perfect for any time of the year!

This is so darn cute! Just when I thought I didn’t need this set and of course you need the framelits! Plus, this is pretty easy to do! This would just be a fun little gift to have on hand – just for fun or when you just need a little something for someone. I have a few of those honey dippers in the drawer I never use. Oh, and I have a package of honey in little straws that came with some tea – oh, that would be fun too with some tea. Now, look what you have done – the wheels are in motion but the pocket book says otherwise! This is just too sweet! Thanks for such a fun idea!
