Beautiful Flourishing Phrases…

This week I needed to make a sympathy card for a friend and I usually struggle to make those – I don’t know why, but of all cards, I find them the most challenging to design…

But this time I realized that I have the absolute perfect stamp set in my stash – Flourishing Phrases – that you can find on pg 49 of the Annual Catalog. It features a big beautiful floral stamp, a large flower and a bunch 0f beautiful words for all sorts of occasions, including this one.

Here is the card I created using it…I kept it clean & simple and you can see how gorgeous that one big beautiful stamp is…

Oh my that big flourish of a stamp is just stunning – you can see how easy & quick it is to make beautiful cards using it – it almost takes up the entire card front all by itself!

Stamped in just one color it is a very bold image to which I decided to add a few Pearl Jewels here & there just to bling it up a bit…

The sentiment is also a stamp from Flourishing Phrases and I shaped it using a die from Tags & Labels Framelits, adding it with Dimensionals for a bit of a pop.

I wrapped around a piece of Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon to tie the front panel to my card base, and then added a bit of Linen Thread on top making sure to line the bow up with the stem…oh how I love thee Linen Thread – you make everything awesome!

I used just three colors on my card – vanilla, white and brown – and I think they work stunningly well together – especially for this occasion…
