Welcome to the Inky Friends New In Color Blog Hop – we each picked one of the new In Colors to work with and wow are they all gorgeous – it was a tough decision to pick just one!

If you are starting here, a big warm welcome – and if you are already hoping in order, you will have arrived from the wonderful Rhonda Griffin’s blog who just showed you her beautiful creations using the fun new Lemon Lime Twist…

The color that I am showcasing is Powder Pink and every time I see this color I think of baby cards and so guess what?  That is exactly what I had to make!

And here it is…

Awww…this card makes me think back to when my girls were babies and now they are about to go into high school…sniff…how time flies!

Back to my card – all of the adorable stamps I used are from the set Moon Baby and I stamped onto Watercolor Paper and colored the image using inks and an Aquapainter.

The pretty patterned paper is from Whole Lot of Lovely DSP which features Powder Pink blobs, and see that star?  I found out that the stars in Enamel Shapes Embellishments fit perfectly in the star shape on that stamp – how cool is that?!

And those clouds?  Die cut from Watercolor Paper using dies from Up & Away Thinlits and I stamped the words directly onto each with the help of my Stamp-a-ma-jig for perfect placement…

If you would like full details of this card including all supplies I used, dimensions, colors, more photos and a FREE Project Sheet, please come back on Monday to find it.

My first card was sweet and subtle but my second card is not and is quite the opposite – this one is striking and bold and here it is…

Stampin-Up-Inky-Friends-Blog-Hop-Christmas-Card-Idea-Sarah-Wills-Sarahsinkspot-Stampinup-Carols-of-Christmas-Main3

It’s a bit of a statement, eh?  Pink and black plus it showcases some brand new items that are featured in the upcoming Holiday Catalog that YOU will be able to purchase a month early from August 1st in the Carols of Christmas Bundle Promotion (or now if you join) – yay!

I absolutely love the subtleness of this new pink color but how it stands it’s ground when used with a strong color companion like black…BUT it’s really hard to photograph this card as the black is like a dust magnet under the studio lights and the light bounces off of the silver!

See the beautiful stars & moon die cuts?  Made using a die from Card Front Builder Framelits and behind I popped a piece of Silver Foil Paper to make the moon & stars literally shine!

That bold Peace on Earth stamp?  It’s from the set Carols of Christmas and I embossed it in silver – both items are in the Carols of Christmas Bundle and it is a ‘must have’!

As for the pink banner pieces sticking out from each side – any guesses how I made them?  They are slanted and are awesomely easy to do…

That baby card is just the sweetest! And the Christmas card is so cool! Might those banners come from the bow punch? Hmmmm??
