I hope you enjoyed the Inky Friends Blog Hop this past weekend – don’t you just LOVE all of those fresh new colors?  I sure do!

In the post below you will find a few more details about the cards I showcased along with FREE Project Sheets for each – they have all measurements, colors and supplies that I used to make each one of them – just look for the red words and click on the link – you can download or print them for reference.

First up is that sweet baby girl card…it still makes me go ‘awww’ every time I look at it!

All stamps I used on this card are from the set Moon Baby and I used an Aqua Painter and Ink Refills to color that big beautiful image.  The colors I used are: So Saffron (moon & star), Powder Pink (onesie), Pink Pirouette (face & hand) and Crumb Cake (hair) – and I stamped onto Watercolor Paper to make coloring this image much easier.

I added a little enamel star to the stamped star for a bit of shiny dimension and an enamel heart to the top cloud, just for a sweet finishing touch…

I stamped the words directly onto three of the die cut clouds – I cut them from Watercolor Paper for continuity & texture and all of the words I used are found on just one stamp in the set Moon Baby.  How do you easily stamp just one or two words from a multi-word stamp like I did here?

Take your stamp, cover the words you don’t want to stamp with masking tape, ink up your stamp and peel off the masking tape – you will see that only the exposed word that you want to stamp is inked up – and off you go – quick & easy and makes your stamps way more versatile!

And don’t forget that you could easily transform this into a baby boy card by simply switching out the patterned paper and using a different color ink for the onesie.

Next up is that bold Christmas card that features lots of sparkle & shine…

I love the color combo and shine on this card – I created the top stars & moon border using a die from Card Front Builder Framelits but it wasn’t long enough to go the full width of my landscape card (it’s designed for a portrait orientation) and so I decided to get creative…

I figured that if I added some Silver Mini Sequins and Rhinestone Jewels to the blank bit on the left and then dotted them throughout the die cut border for continuity, it would tie it all together nicely and would not be noticeable – and I think it worked!

And check out the gorgeous deer – LOVE this die from Santa’s Sleigh Framelits – I think he adds a touch of holiday magic!

I heat embossed ‘Peace on Earth’ using a stamp from Carols of Christmas and cut it out using the largest circle die from Stitched Shapes Framelits.

And remember that I had you guessing on how I made those slanted banner pieces sticking out from under the circle?  Did you work out how I made them?

I used the star die from Wood Crate Framelits and cut two stars from scraps of Powder Pink card stock and used scissors to cut the pieces I wanted from each –  then taped them to the underside of the stitched circle – neat, eh?  I LOVE when I find uses for tools other than for their original intended purpose!
