Welcome to 3-D Thursday and this week we have a beautiful project for you – a Mini Scrapbook that has a fall theme to it which would be perfect for Thanksgiving gifts for visiting family & friends…
This week’s project was created by the lovely Twila Davis over at Stamp a Little Longer – further down this post you will find a link to the FREE Project Sheet that has a detailed supply list, step by step instructions & color photos so that you can create your own!
And here it is…isn’t it gorgeous? I love how those colors work together along with the wood effect papers – and it’s in two parts…
There are the scrapbook pages that are held all together on a key chain and there is a clear plastic case to store them in.
What is that plastic case? It’s actually the empty clear case that the Bitty Bows come packaged in – how cool is that? What a great way to use up every last bit of your Stampin’ Up! stuff! If you don’t have that box to hand, you can use something else – for reference it is sized 4 1/4″ x 3 1/8″ x 1/2″- and here is how Twila decorated it…
Gorgeous, eh? She used wood effect papers from Wood Textures DSP and a stamped sentiment from Paisleys & Posies and die cut it using an oval die from Stitched Shapes Framelits to create the cover.
See those leaves? Stamped and cut out using a leaf stamp & coordinating die from the Colorful Seasons Bundle and I love how she used several layers of Linen Thread to create that big pretty rustic bow.
And here is what goes inside that box – a set of six mini scrapbook pages and again, Twila creatively used something that you might throw away – you know the white backing board that you get in a pack of DSP? Yup, she used that to create the actual pages and attached pretty papers onto it – isn’t that cool? Talk about reuse and recycle at it’s best!
Here are the pretty scrapbook pages – again, the leaves and Linen Thread and Wood Textures DSP continue the theme…
And here is the back of those pages…covered with more wood effect paper – you could leave them blank like this, or double up and add more photos to the reverse sides or add note cards…
I think this project will make beautiful gifts for Thanksgiving gatherings – I am saving all of my product packaging from now on to see how I can make good use of it!
